Bred by Thomas Cripps and Son (United Kingdom, before 1867).
Class:
Mid-season.  
Bloom:
White suffused with a blue or mauve tint.  6 to 8 petals.  Average diameter 8".  Single, overlapping bloom form.  Late spring to late summer.  
Habit:

Height: 8' to 10' (245 to 305cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 4b through 9b.  Plant in sun or partial shade.  sheltered.  It blooms on the previous year's growth, so resist the urge to prune it in early spring.
