Nursery established by Johann Huber in 1883. His grandson Richard Huber jun. (b. 1927) introduced roses in the nursery's program in 1948 and took over the management in 1958.
[From Rosa Helvetica, 1986, p. 42:] The nursery Johann Huber, established 1883, started 1948 growing roses under the current owner Richard Huber. In 1960, the company began as the first in western Europe to specifically grow OGRs, mainly shrub roses. Currently they have almost 700 rose varieties...
