Bred by Unknown Dutch origin (Netherlands, circa 1739).

Light pink.  Strong fragrance.  Average diameter 2.5".  Double (17-25 petals), cupped bloom form.  Once-blooming spring or summer.  
Habit:
Height of 5' to 7' (150 to 215 cm).  Width of 4' to 5' (120 to 150 cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 5b through 9b.  Shade tolerant.  Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant.  
Notes:
Apuldram Roses say that this rose, which is also known as 'Minden Rose', has open cupped flowers of soft rose pink...


The Swedish Rose Society recommends Celeste for northern Sweden.


Pépinières Loubert's 2002 Catalogue says this rose comes from Holland and assigns it a date of c. 1739.
