Pépinières Loubert supplies a date of pre-1848. See References for more information. There is no reference to a rose called 'Alice Vena' in the 19th century.
'Alice Vena' in Sangerhausen is identical with 'Centifolia à fleurs doubles violettes'. Vintage Garden equated 'Alice Vena' with 'Ombrée Parfaite'. See references.
