Some weeks old seedlings of Rosa persica Michx. ex Juss., germinated this spring. Seeds was in cold water some days, which colored in green and tasted like green tea. I have changed the water while stay clean. Then seeds sown on wet Agroperlit and placed at room temperature (20 ° C). Seeds began to germinate within two weeks. Photo from April 15, 2014.

Rosa Persica (Tashkent Type) after being pollinated on May, 8th, 2011. (Selfings are unusual in this species, so the own pollen is no problem.)

These prickles are slightly curved. Should they not be straight?
