Mild fragrance. Single (4-8 petals) bloom form. Occasional repeat later in the season.
Thornless (or almost).
Height of 7' (215 cm).
USDA zone 3b through 9b. Very hardy.
Kim Rupert reports that 'Basye's Thornless' is '65-626', and is synonymous with 'Commander Gillette' [see also photos of 77-361] The breeding is R. carolina alba x 'Hugh Dickson'. It's single, thornless, repeat blooming and deciduous. (See Comments)
