Bred by Svend Poulsen (Denmark, 1932).
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1934 as 'Karen Poulsen'.

Bloom:
Scarlet.  Moderate fragrance.  5 petals.  Average diameter 2.75".  Medium, single (4-8 petals), in small clusters bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Bushy, upright.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).

Tetraploid
Notes:
Karen Poulsen was the daughter of the late Paul Poulsen.
Named for the niece of raiser Svend Poulsen.
