Origin:
Bred by Fr. George M.A. Schoener, SJ (United States, 1930).
Class:
Hybrid Nutkana.  
Bloom:
Light pink to carmine-pink, yellow stamens.  Moderate fragrance.  5 petals.  Large, single (4-8 petals), in small clusters, open bloom form.  Once-blooming spring or summer.  Small, pointed buds.  
Habit:
Tall, arching, thornless (or almost), upright.  Medium green foliage.  7 leaflets.  
Height of 8' (245 cm).  Width of 4' (120 cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Can be used for shrub.  Hardy.  prefers cool sites..
