Final Analysis 1984-85 Floribundas.
'Nancy Steen'. Sherwood 1976. ('Pink Parfait' x ('Ophelia' x 'Parkdirektor Riggers'). Blush pink. 30 petals. 18 reports. 7.9 rating. This locally hybridised rose has been highly rated since first reports came in in 1977 yet has never made the headlines. Why? Perhaps the delicate soft pink doesn't catch the casual eye. Otago call it a healthy shrub rose producing a grand display each year. Gisborne say it to be very floriforous, healthy and highly recommended. Southland report it to be vigorous, healthy but unexciting. Taranaki say it has quite an old world charm and does well in their climate. From reports, a rose that should be better known even if only to commemorate Nancy Steen.

Don Sheppard. Review of Newer Roses in 1983-84 Season. Floribundas.
'Nancy Steen'. Sherwood. 'Pink Parfait' x ('Ophelia' x 'Park Direktor Riggers') Blush pink. 5 reports, 6 bushes, 6 years, 1.5 metres, 7.9 rating. Two Gisbome reporters say they like and recommend it, for it is very floriforous, has no disease and is always covered in delicate pink lightly scented flowers. Southland finds the colour uninteresting, but the bush is healthy and vigorous. Auckland find the growth rather spindly but healthy. Central Taranaki like its old world charm.
