Origin:
Bred by J.-M. Gonod (France, 1881).
Class:
Noisette, Tea, Tea Noisette, Tea, Cl..  
Bloom:
Deep yellow, copper reverse.  Moderate fragrance.  Very large, full (26-40 petals), globular bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Climbing, thornless (or almost).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Hardy.  vigorous.  Prune lightly or not at all.  
Notes:
Sangerhausen classifies this rose as a Tea. There are different opinions on the parentage (see References).
'Beauté de l'Europe' in gardens and commerce is probably not the original rose.

Said to be similar to 'Juliette Doucet' - see.
