Introduced in United Kingdom by Veitch - Coombe Wood Nursery in 1875 as 'Duchess of Edinburgh'.
Introduced in Australia by J. Scott & Son. in 1889 as 'Duchess of Edinburgh'.

Bloom:
Carmine-red.  Mild fragrance.  Large, double (17-25 petals), cupped bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.

USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
