'Fulgens' rose Description

ARS:
Medium red Hybrid China. Registration name: Malton
Bloom:
Red. Mild fragrance. Average diameter 2.25". Medium, very double, in small clusters, cupped, scalloped bloom form. Once-blooming spring or summer.
Habit:
Armed with thorns / prickles. Large, reddish-purple foliage. 5 to 7 leaflets. Height of 4' to 10' (120 to 305 cm). Width of 3' to 4' (90 to 120 cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
Notes:
Similar to 'Gloire de Guérin', which, however, repeats. Tasman Bay Roses carries the Bourbon by this name. Malton was the brother-in-law of Guérin.
