I am in zone 6 and was considering buying a Barbara Streisand. I have a couple of questions about her...Is she purple? Can she handle partial shade? In my yard it would be mrning shade, I think. Also, I read that for winter, you tied back her canes.. what does st mean? Ty :)

My "Babs" blooms more like a Gradiflora (clusters of flowers) then a Hybrid tea no single stems. Now, I will say mine is a 36" standard tree may be that's having some effect on it's blooming habit. Any one else have comments or observations? I guess I'll have to do some disbudding is I want single stems for cutting.

Has anyone out their grown Barbra spray-free/organic? I live in Santa Fe, NM, technically zone 5 but more like zone 6 this year. Any comments would be appreciated.
