Introduced in Australia by John Baptist in 1861 as 'Lord Raglan'.

Hybrid Perpetual.  

Violet or purple with fiery bright red center.  Strong fragrance.  Very large, very full (41+ petals), cupped, globular, old-fashioned bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  

Upright.  

USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Very vigorous.  Disease susceptibility: susceptible to Mildew.
