Northern Yellow is a very healthy and hardy shrub which is repeat flowering. It was bred by Rolf Sievers of Germany and is classified as a francofurtana (gallica). It resembles more a cluster-flowered shrub though its hardiness must have been inherited from the francofurtana parent.
A most useful rose especially for northern gardens.

Someone should send it to Canada. They need yellows.

Now growing its second season in my garden in southern Finland, this rose is very floriferous and healthy. The buds have good and opened flowers average rain resistance in this very rainy summer of 2015.
