Bred by David C. H. Austin (1926-2018) (United Kingdom, 1982).

White or white blend.  Strong fragrance.  35 petals.  Large, double (17-25 petals), flat bloom form.  Occasional repeat later in the season.  
Habit:

Height: up to 4¼' (up to 130cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
A variety that David Austin considers inferior and does not recommend growing unless you're a collector. 'Proud Titania' has been seen to be distributed as 'Fragrant Old White' by some garden centers.
