This rose has 16 favourite votes, but the rating is very disappointing. Why this contradiction?
Does this rose behave that bad, or was there just one person very disappointed in this good looking climber?
What was the outcome of the RINZ Rose Display Trial at the Auckland Regional Botanic Gardens?

My new Papi Delbard has rather disappointing flowers, nothing like the picture on the website except it is many petalled. It is mainly yellow and not large. The plant is healthy and growing strongly but there has been some die-back of a higher stem. I am wondering if what I have growing is rootstock or could it be that this is early in the season and the weather is still quite cool?

If this is the first year you have this rose it is not unusual for a very young rose to not have the exact colour it should have. Also the acidity of your soil will have a bearing on the colour. Again because it hasn't a lot of growth, the flowers will not be very double because it doesn't have the root system to take up the amount of nutrients it needs to make bigger blooms. You may have to wait for three years until it has grown into a sizeable plant to get the very double blooms. Or you could make sure the rose is well fed to give it strength to produce the larger blooms when it is young.

You can see the authentic Papi delbard in the web of "Delbard rosieres" it seems your rose, but not the roses in this web. I think the roses are Nahema Deleri of delbard Sorry but I don,t speak English very well.
