Introduced in Australia by John J. Rule, Victoria Nursery in 1857 as 'Charles Souchet'.

Bloom:
Violet-red.  Sweet fragrance.  Average diameter 2.5".  Medium, full (26-40 petals) bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Small buds.  
Habit:
Compact.  Large foliage.  5 leaflets.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
