Notes:
The Swedish Rose Society recommends Thérèse Bugnet for northern Sweden. If the various parents of 'Thérèse Bugnet' are listed out without using the nicknames Bugnet gave his intermediate hybrids, the parentage looks like this: [R. rugosa flore pleno X {(R. kamtchatica X R. macounii) X R. amblyotis}] X mixed pollens The pollens in the mixture included 'Betty Bland', 'Hansa', R. hugonis, and others, so we truly do not know the pollen parent of 'Thérèse Bugnet'. It might have been 'Betty Bland' (this has long been said to be the pollen parent, and 'Thérèse Bugnet' has some blanda-like characteristics), but it might have been one of the others since R. macounii sometimes presents those characteristics (has red canes and is relatively free of prickles).
