Bred by Vittorio Barni (1914-1999) (Italy, 1981).
Introduced in Italy by Rose Barni in 1981 as 'Notturno'.

Bloom:
Dark red.  Flowrers dark purplish red.  Strong fragrance.  35 petals.  Full (26-40 petals) bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Bushy, upright.  Large, dark green foliage.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).

Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
Rose Barni says the blooms of Notturno are large and a dark velvety red -- a worthy companion to 'Magia Nera'.
