I would describe the color as dark raspberry pink, with a hint of coral in the inner petal. The petal eye zone has a small purple eye, and as the blooms age, a little bit of purple can be seen near the middle of the petals. The blooms are very shiny, and reflect light easily.

When buds first appear on this rose, they are small and knotty. But, don't let that fool you. Somehow these small, knotty buds turn into huge, beautiful blooms!

This rose is very fragrant and the blooms can easily be six inches across and last a good while on the bush. The bush is on the large size and the foliage is beautiful with heavily serrated leaves, medium green. Stems grow long and straight. Good repeat and very impressive display of huge blooms.

Yeah. This was one of the few J/P roses that had good all-around merits.

Hello,
I would really appreciate if anyone could help me to find Rose Rhapsody, that could be shipped to Hawaii this season.
Thank you.

Hello. I bought an own-root Rose Rhapsody this winter from Heirloom Roses. I found them through the Help Me Find "Buy From" tab. Rose Rhapsody was planted this spring in my rose garden, along with my other hybrid teas. My plant struggled all spring and summer to get established in the face of a very tough year for rust in our area as well as the hungry rabbits and coyotes that live nearby. I'm pleased to report that I've now got three lovely blooms. I had always assumed that the first year for an own-root plant is one when the plant gets established. Based on what little I now see, it's been worth the wait. I also very much look forward to next year!
