Bred by Samuel McGredy II (United Kingdom, before 1923).
Introduced in France by Paul Nabonnand in 1924 as 'Arthur Cook'.
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1925 as 'Arthur Cook'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Crimson, dark purple highlights.  Strong fragrance.  Very large, very double bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Bushy, few or no prickles/thorns, upright.  

Height: 30" to 3' (75 to 90cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
