Fräulein Oktavia Hesse. (H. A. Hesse 1909.) R. Wichurana x Kaiserin Auguste Viktoria.
Medium size, prettily filled, cream-yellow with darker centre, fine fragarnce, solitary or several on long stalks, very lasting. Vigorous shrub, healthy vivid glossy green foliage, is resistant, hardy and blooms faithfully from June to August. Valuable pyramid, arch and espalier-Rose, as well as esteemable cutting and vase rose.

Hardy Climbing Roses
Fraulein Octavia Hesse. Hybrid Wichuraiana. (Hesse, 1910.) Creamy white flowers with yellowish center, fairly large, and very well formed, fragrant, borne singly or in sparse clusters on long stems. Plant very strong; foliage good, and notably liberal in bloom.
Midseason, continuing in flower a month or more. Extremely beautiful and most desirable. Has not been tested everywhere, but considered reliably hardy.

Fräulein Octavia Hesse (F. A. Hesse 10) climbing Kaiserin Auguste Viktoria; especially the buds are very similar. The bloom is whitish yellow, center darker, large, fragrant. She blooms from June to August. The blooms are mostly solitary; they are very lasting.

FRAU OCTAVIE HESSE.—In both habit of growth and mildew resistance this very much resembles Ernest Grandpier. The color, however, is a real deep pink, almost cerise.
