Bred by Laxton Bros. (United Kingdom, before 1923).
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1928 as 'Bedford Crimson'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea, Pernetiana.  
Bloom:
Crimson, dark purple shading.  Strong fragrance.  40 petals.  Full (26-40 petals) bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Well-branched.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
Laxton Bros. was located in Bedford.
