Eric Timewell. Frank Riethmuller’s Niece Elsie. …’Lady Woodward’ was introduced to Queensland by Mrs. Eldridge from Golden Vale Nursery in 1995, not because Elsie Bischof had brought it with her.

p41 ibid. Most [roses] survived because Elsie took them to Toowoomba….At this point it became all too easy for her to leave behind the humiliation of those roses dedicated to women. At least seven Riethmuller roses of all sorts ‘Lady Woodward' and…. disappeared from view, in most cases never to be seen again.

Deep green, smooth foliage, broad leaflets, orange tints to new growth. Bushy. Flower 50 petals, 100mm. 1 to 3. Bush, 1.25m x 1m.

Mr. Philip Sutherland. Lady Woodward. This is Frank Riethmuller’s forgotten Hybrid tea. As he often did, he used the best of German blood (sap?)-lines to produce this light pink old-style hybrid tea. Very double, with good fragrance, its an ideal garden rose.
