New Roses 1932.  Gartendirektor Nose HT. (W. Kordes Sohne 1930)  F. 3. Rich dark crimson, double flowers of excellent shape freely produced on plants of vigorous growth. The fragrance is rather unusual for a rose of this colour, as instead of the sweet or damask scent this variety has rather a strong fruity fragrance. The foliage is good, while the colour values are well kept, making up a very fine variety for either garden or exhibition. A.H.M.Mt.P.S.

Another variety from the same raiser is Gartendirektor Nose Kordes, 1930). This is also of strong growth, while the flowers carry 50 petals of good quality and a dark red to crimson colour, which was well held until late autumn, when blueing was noticed. In some quarters the name has been spelt Noss and Rose but it is correct as given at the commencement of the paragraph.
