Origin:
Bred by George Paul (1841-1921) (United Kingdom, 1907).
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in before 1911 as 'Goldfinch'.
Class:
Hybrid Multiflora, Polyantha, Cl., Rambler.  
Bloom:
Light yellow, orange shading, ages to white .  Moderate fragrance.  Average diameter 1.5".  Semi-double (9-16 petals), cluster-flowered, in large clusters, flat bloom form.  Once-blooming spring or summer.  
Habit:
Tall, climbing, few or no prickles/thorns.  Small, glossy, wrinkled (rugose) foliage.  

Height: up to 9'10" (up to 300cm).  Width: up to 4' (up to 120cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Vigorous.
