Introduced in Ireland by Samuel McGredy and Son, Nurserymen (Ireland) as 'Händel'.

Climber, Floribunda, Cl., Large-Flowered Climber.  
Bloom:
Red blend, pink edges.  Mild fragrance.  22 to 30 petals.  Average diameter 4".  Large, very double bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Climbing.  
Height of 5' to 15' (150 to 455 cm).  Width of 7' to 8' (215 to 245 cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Disease susceptibility: susceptible to blackspot .

Notes:
Gwen Powell says her photograph is of 'Handel' in it's first year of growth. With plenty of fertilizer and water the plant grows about 6 inches a week. Right now it gets only about ½ day of sun.
