Introduced in Belgium by Louis Lens N.V./Pépinières Louis Lens SA in 1998 as 'Bukavu'.
Class:
Hybrid Musk, Shrub.  
Bloom:
Cherry-red to carmine-pink, white center. [White, pink shading.]  Mild, moderate fragrance.  4 to 11 petals.  Average diameter 2".  Medium, single (4-8 petals), in large clusters bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Arching, bushy.  
Height of 3' to 6' (90 to 185 cm).  Width of 3' to 6' (90 to 185 cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Can be used for garden, landscape or shrub.  Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant.

According to Louis Lens' 2001/2002 Catalogue, sales of this rose benefirt Project ADRAI a.s.b.l. for the renovation of the hospital in Bukavu, Congo.
