Registration name: Traverser
Origin:
Bred by Alister Clark (1864-1949) (Australia, 1928).
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1929 as 'Traverser'.
Class:
Climber, Hybrid Gigantea, Large-Flowered Climber.  
Bloom:
Yellow to white.  Large, semi-double to double, in small clusters bloom form.  Once-blooming spring or summer.  
Habit:
Climbing.  

Height: up to 19'8" (up to 600cm).  Width: up to 13'1" (up to 400cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Vigorous.  
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
The rose in commerce in Australia came from 'Glenara' but there is no positive proof that it is the original 'Traverser'.
The 1935 reference quotes “ a single plant extended along a fence to a distance of nearly 40 feet in Mr. Clark's garden”.
