Can anyone comment about this rose's thorn density and heat tolerance?

Beautiful, pointed buds and medium-pink, double flowers with a darker reverse. Vigorous branched growth with profuse bloom. With a narrow base, the tall canes can be anchored to a fence or to the ground for a fountain effect. More blooms than you could believe possible in a mini!

Jeanne LaJoie has been a great performer for me, right from the get-go. My plant is on its own roots and continuously produces new canes. The first spring bloom is amazing -- literally sheets of blooms. Rebloom is very quick (I deadhead thoroughly) and rebloom is almost as prolific as the spring flush. Flowers are pretty, clean well, but have NO fragrance. My only complaint is if I fertilize I get some mildew on the flower buds. That's easy -- I just don't fertilize except for some compost in the spring and fall.
Highly recommended if you're looking for a short climber.

I'm in zone 5,6800',this rose is hardy,requires NO winter protection. Yet..............I don't enjoy this rose,small flowers,little new growth.............I hope it does better in the future.

Hi. I don't know when you planted this rose, but if, after you've been growing it for 3 years, you are still dissatisfied with the lack of growth, I will be surprised. As far as the small flowers, it does not have small flowers; it is a miniature. It has pretty good sized flowers for a miniature.
