Presumed to be 'John Hopper'. 158 At Northcliffe, WA,. on Fortuniana rootstock 0ct 7, 2019. Provenance: A gift from Mostly Roses Nursery in 2001 - came as "Abi's Rose" and originally from Donnybrook, WA. Prickles on lower canes. Thornless above 25 inches.

Provenance: A gift from Mostly Roses Nursery in 2001 - came as "Abi's Rose" and originally from Donnybrook, WA. Leaf under.(‘John Hopper’ left with small prickles; “Kelvin Road” right with glandular feel only.

South Australia, zone 9b, mid-late spring. Invaded by "Yallum Park Cream". JH is a survivor rose in the Adelaide Hills, and has acquired multiple study names. Which is why I currently have at least four of them.

Melbourne Oct 27 2018 At risk of pillory for poor pruning, not so much for technique as for the worse crime of hating to prune at all. Disagree that they "love it". Anyhow JH had to be moved this year and so got a hard prune. So the blooms are almost 6 inches in diameter.
