Bred by Jackson T. Dawson (United States, 1893).
Introduced in United States by Eastern Nurseries Inc. in 1893 as 'Arnold'.

Bloom:
Scarlet.  Strong fragrance.  Large, single (4-8 petals) bloom form.  Occasional repeat later in the season.  
Habit:
Dark green foliage.  
Height of 4' to 6½' (120 to 200 cm).  Width of up to 4' (up to 120 cm).

USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
