Origin:
Bred by Jean Pernet (père) (France, 1882).
Introduced in Australia by C. H. Halstead in 1899 as 'Merveille de Lyon'.
Class:
Hybrid Perpetual.  
Bloom:
White, light pink shading.  None / no fragrance.  Average diameter 4.5".  Very large, full (26-40 petals), borne mostly solitary, cupped-to-flat bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Armed with thorns / prickles, compact, dense.  Light green foliage.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  A good subject for pegging.  Disease susceptibility: susceptible to Mildew.
