I've still got this rose in a container, but I'm already impressed with the flower size and the pleasant, if hard to characterize, scent. The flowers are attractively colored and display interesting form. Above all, I am impressed by the vigor of the rose. I can't wait to see what happens once it's in the ground.

Malcolm, your photos just added are reminding me of a rose I once grew "David's Dilemma" and which was once thought to be the original 'Socrates'.

I'm used to seeing more rounded petals on "David's Dilemma", except when it's doubling its petal count.

Update May 2015: Thanks to Marie Butler, we again have this rose. So it should soon appear in the Florida Southern College gardens.
