Bred by Giovanni Casoretti (Italy, before 1825).
Introduced in France by Jean-Pierre Vibert in 1825 as 'Byron'.
Class:
Centifolia.  
Bloom:
Deep pink to red.  Strong fragrance.  Average diameter 3".  Medium, semi-double to double, semi-globular bloom form.  Once-blooming spring or summer.  
Habit:
5 to 7 leaflets.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
