Bred by Jacques-Louis Descemet (France, before 1816).
Class:
Gallica / Provins.  
Bloom:
Purple - red, violet shading.  Mild fragrance.  Average diameter 1.75".  Small, very full (41+ petals) bloom form.  Once-blooming spring or summer.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b and warmer.
