Bred by Reimer Kordes (1922-1997) (Germany, before 1968).
Introduced in United Kingdom by Samuel McGredy and Son, Nurserymen (Northern Ireland) in 1968 as 'Peer Gynt'.
Introduced by Unknown (Australia) in 1970 as 'Peer Gynt'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Yellow blend, red edges.  Mild fragrance.  50 petals.  Average diameter 4.5".  Large, very full (41+ petals) bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Bushy.  

Height: 32" to 4¼' (80 to 130cm).  Width: 2' (60cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 7b and warmer.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.  Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) .
