Introduced in France by Grandes Roseraies du Val de la Loire in 1958 as 'Première Ballerine'.
Introduced in United Kingdom by Wheatcroft Brothers Ltd. in 1958 as 'Prima Ballerina'.
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1959 as 'Prima Ballerina'.

Bloom:
Cerise, ages to deep pink .  Cherry-pink.  Strong fragrance.  20 petals.  Average diameter 3".  Medium, double (17-25 petals) bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Long, pointed buds.

Light green foliage.  

Height: 3' to 4¼' (90 to 130cm).  Width: up to 2' (up to 60cm).
