Origin:
Bred by Emmanuel-Maxime aka Paul Buatois (France, 1931).
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1933 as 'Réveil Dijonnais'.
Class:
Climber, Hybrid Tea, Cl., Pernetiana, Cl..  
Bloom:
Cherry-red, golden-yellow center, yellow reverse.  Moderate fragrance.  up to 13 petals.  Average diameter 4.75".  Very large, semi-double (9-16 petals), in small clusters, cupped bloom form.  Occasional repeat later in the season.  
Habit:
Climbing.  Glossy, bronze-green foliage.  

Height: 10' to 12' (305 to 365cm).  Width: 6' (185cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Vigorous.  Disease susceptibility: susceptible to blackspot .
