Bred by Modeste Guérin (Paris) (France, 1862). Bred by Auguste Dessert (France, 1890).

Hybrid lactiflora.  
Bloom:
Crimson - pink, violet-red , silver(y) edges.  Tyrian rose.  Moderate, medicinal fragrance.  Large, double, cupped bloom form.  Midseason.  
Habit:
Compact, medium, upright.  Dark foliage.
