Discovered by E.H. Wilson (United Kingdom, 1903).
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1921 as 'R. moyesii'.

Red.  5 petals.  Average diameter 2.25".  Medium, single (4-8 petals), borne mostly solitary, in small clusters bloom form.  Once-blooming spring or summer.  
Habit:
Arching, armed with thorns / prickles, bushy, spreading.  Matte, dark green foliage.  7 to 13 leaflets.  

Height: 6½' to 10' (200 to 305cm).  Width: up to 6' (up to 185cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 5b and warmer.  Vigorous.  shade tolerant.
