Introduced in United Kingdom by T. Hilling & Co. in 1954 as 'Abbotswood'.

Hybrid Canina, Shrub.  
Bloom:
Pink.  Mild fragrance.  Medium, semi-double to double, cluster-flowered bloom form.  Occasional repeat later in the season.  
Habit:
Arching, armed with thorns / prickles, bushy.  Medium, semi-glossy, dark green foliage.  5 to 7 leaflets.  

Height: 7' (215cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
Graham S. Thomas writes that 'Abbotswood' was pointed out to him by F. Tustin. GST subsequently named and distributed it as manager of T. Hilling & Co.
