My favorite rose by far.
Outstanding in color, shape of blooms and fragrance. Her flowers look illuminated as though a lightbulb was shining inside of them. Very vivid and absolutely gorgeous.
Not a rapid grower though.
In my garden (Baden-Baden, Germany) she is among the healthier roses like all David Austin roses.
It's a shame she was discountinued and is so hard to find nowadays.
In my garden both examples of The Yeoman bloom in many flushes throughout the season -> in this point I disagree with the HMF description.

This rose was apparently discontinued by David Austin due to lack of vigor and susceptibility to disease. I have grown it at two different locations in California, and it seems to enjoy this climate. I have never smelled another rose that has quite the delicious suprise of myrrh fragrance as this rose. Truely intoxicating! It does have a predisposition to rust, unfortunately, but it is a great rose.
