Breeder's notes:
Both Safrano and Madame Falcot are great favorites of ours, and when we sent this seedling for testing to Gene Waering , our American friend who has been and continues to be , most supportive, he liked it very much and since Dixieland is the south of the USA, and our roses are performing well there, he suggested we give it this name. We agreed, while calling it Deccan Beauty for India.
