Shrub.  English Rose Collection.  
Butter-yellow, ages to lighter .  Buttery yellow coloured blooms which eventually pale to a softer creamy colour..  Strong, myrrh fragrance.  up to 43 petals.  Average diameter 3.75".  Large, very full (41+ petals), borne mostly solitary, in small clusters, rounded bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Pointed, rounded buds.  
Upright, well-branched.  Leathery foliage.  
Height of up to 5' (up to 150 cm).  Width of up to 3' (up to 90 cm).

This invention relates to a new and distinct variety of shrub rose plant named ‘AUSblanket’, which was originated from the cross-pollination of the two ‘unnamed’ and unpatented seedlings of Rosa hybrida....The following description is of 1 year-old rose plants of the new variety grown outdoors in Albrighton, Britain in the month of June.
Named after Wollerton Old Hall in Shropshire which has one of the most beautiful private gardens in the country, not far from the David Austin Nursery. The gardens are set around a 16th Century Hall and feature roses in creative plant combinations, including many David Austin English Roses. Wollerton Old Hall is open to the public on selected days throughout the summer.
