Rose-pink and salmon-pink, light pink outer petals, ages to blush .  Mild fragrance.  Average diameter 4".  Medium, full (26-40 petals), borne mostly solitary, in small clusters, cupped, globular, old-fashioned, quartered bloom form.  Moderate, blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Medium, pointed, rounded buds.

Tall, climbing, spreading, well-branched.  Medium, glossy, dark green, edged purple-red, holly-like, leathery, maroon highlights foliage.  3 to 7 leaflets.

Height: 8' to 15' (245 to 455cm).  Width: 3' to 7' (90 to 215cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 5a and warmer.  Can be used for beds and borders, cut flower, garden, landscape, pillar or specimen.  Hardy.  very vigorous.  can be grown as a shrub.  can be trained as a climber.  drought resistant.  flowers drop off cleanly.  heat tolerant.  produces decorative hips.  rain tolerant.  shade tolerant.  suitable for a pillar.  Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant, blackspot resistant, mildew resistant.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.  Needs little care; relatively disease-free and quite hardy.
Breeder's notes:
This cross was inspired by the variety Viking Queen and was done with Country Doctor instead of L.E. Longley which is no longer commercially available. I made the same cross, but in reverse, but no hips formed. While I did have 10 total germinations, this was the only one to make it through to blooming.

While they both share many similarities (thus the nickname Viking Queen 2.0), they are still unique. So far, Pink Stunner has produced smaller blooms than Viking Queen and the foliage is slightly darker with the individual leaflets being smaller on Pink Stunner. They are going to be growing close to each other for awhile so more comparisons can be made.

Sets hips.
