Notes:
"La Torre" found by Rafael Maino in Bariloche, Patagonia, Argentina
Probably planted before 1974

Pedicel: smooth
Foliage: Lanceolate. Mid or deep green, purplish new growth. Thorns under. Does not lose its leaves.
Prickles: On old canes.
Hip: obovate – closest to Krussman’s sample C on his p244.

Not ‘Safrano’ as that has glandular pedicels.
Not ‘G. Nabonnand’ as that is virtually thornless.
Not ‘Jean Ducher’ which was yellow and very thorny.
Not ‘Crespuscule’. The foundling has softer colours.

'Reve d’Or' is similar but "La Torre" does not grow as tall as 'Reve d'Or'.
