"La Torre" rose Description

Class:
Found Rose, Hybrid Tea, Noisette, Tea.
Bloom:
Yellow-apricot with soft pink shading. Mild, tea fragrance. Medium to large, cupped bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.
Habit:
Height: 6¼' (190cm). Width: 47" (120cm).

Notes:
"La Torre" found by Rafael Maino in Bariloche, Patagonia, Argentina Probably planted before 1974
Pedicel: smooth Foliage: Lanceolate. Mid or deep green, purplish new growth. Thorns under. Does not lose its leaves. Prickles: On old canes. Hip: obovate – closest to Krussman’s sample C on his p244.
Not ‘Safrano’ as that has glandular pedicels. Not ‘G. Nabonnand’ as that is virtually thornless. Not ‘Jean Ducher’ which was yellow and very thorny. Not ‘Crespuscule’. The foundling has softer colours.
'Reve d’Or' is similar but "La Torre" does not grow as tall as 'Reve d'Or'.
