A wonderful rose. This is, with Mme Hardy, the finest white oldest rose, and should absolutely be more diffusely grown.

Its flowers are the quintessential old rose, full and quartered, with a perfect button eye. They are the purest white, and give a powerful, superb pure alba fragrance.

Foliage is also pure typical alba, really beautiful and healthy.
This plant is maybe the finest in a group like Alba, even if it is rich of beautiful varieties.

I agree! And in California, it forms a small, self-supporting tree, about 8 to 10 feet tall. What a rose.
