Yes. San Leandro is a small city in the San Francisco Bay Area (the part of it known as the "East Bay") and I imagine, from its name, that there is where this rose was discovered. I was attracted to this rose on Vintage's list in part because San Leandro is not far from Livermore, where I live (the other parts being that I am fond of deep red roses and interested in "found" roses in general).
